Meet Our Pastor

Dr. Joe Manning is a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer, ETC (SS) who served 9 years of active duty and 11 years of reserve. He’s been preaching at Bethel Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas since July 2009. Prior to this, he pastored churches in Hawaii, Georgia, and Texas. He also served two years at the North American Mission Board.

He earned an Associate of Arts from the University of the State of New York, a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Education from the Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and a Bachelor of Science in Bible from the Arlington Baptist University

Pastor Joe also acquired a Master of Divinity from the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Apologetics and Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary. He is currently working toward completing a Doctor of Ministry in Mission and Evangelism from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
